Our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Atique Islam attended the Seventh Euro-Asia Economic Forum held on 20th to 22nd September in Xi’an and also the 1st Congress for the "International Silk Road Academy of Sciences (ISRAS)" held on 25th September in Beijing. This is one of the top ten international forums in China. The main topic of the forum was: Jointly building The Belt and Road with the driving force of innovation. Participants of the program were mainly from the countries of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and from other Eurasian countries. Being recommended as the Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh, Professor Atique Islam was nominated to participate in these prestigious programs. He made two commended presentations on these events where he focused on the academic achievements of Bangladesh and NSU in recent years, as well as on our outlook and expectations on The Belt and Road, challenges and constraints of OBOR and other aspects.
He also signed initial membership of NSU into ISRAS. The signing ceremony was witnessed by distinguished scholars from all over the world and prominent Chinese personalities from academy and government. Being member of ISRAS, allows NSU to help necessary collaboration with over a hundred top Chinese and other Asian universities.
