Prof. Dr. G. U. Ahsan has been selected as the Founder Director & Country Coordinator of EcoHealth Network in Asia. The Department of Public Health of North South University is working as the country coordinator office in Bangladesh.
The EcoHealth Network will serve as a forum and platform for information and resource sharing, strengthening of research capacity and collaboration in the field of emerging public health issues. Our areas of research cover topics that are related to how changes in ecosystems (composed of ecological, biological and social situations) could impact human health, in particular with regards to emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. This research strives to provide innovative, practical and realistic solutions that will reduce or reverse the negative impacts of ecosystem change. Therefore, this forum will serve as network to liaise with professional and scientific communities and could play an important role in health sector. This will create an opportunity for students, teachers, researcher & professionals for advancing public health with financial support & scholarship. It will further strengthen the benefits and mutual interest for creating lasting positive impact. It will be the leading network on Ecohealth in Asia and worldwide.
