Sabrin is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Her current research interest is understanding the molecular mechanisms of different cancer signalling cell lines by protein and RNA analysis. She also works in different hospitals, addressing major birth defects and finding the key factors leading to disease incidences and prognoses to raise awareness for prevention. She also has diversified research experiences in bioequivalence studies, biological and pharmacological studies, drug design and qualitative and quantitative analysis. She takes her core theoretical courses in organic pharmacy and physical pharmacy and has extensive experience supervising undergraduate students in their research projects.

Thesis title: Molecular regulation of elongator in cancer

Research experience:

Studying the molecular mechanism by which an oncogenic pathway regulates cancer initiation and progression and searching for potential treatment target. This study was conducted using primary cell cultures and all possible conventional molecular biology techniques.

Learning advanced techniques like quantitative real-time PCR, western blotting, protein assay, genotyping mutant zebra fishes, viral transfection etc.
