Rahnuma Shahrin Rista joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics & Physics at North South University (NSU) in 2024.
She completed her Advanced Masrers in Medical Physics from International Center for Theoritical Physics (ICTP), Italy. Her specialization was done in Radiotherapy. Additionally, her research was done on Intraoperative Radiotherapy (IORT) while doing the Masrers. Ms. Rista has finished her B.Sc. & M.Sc. in Physics from Jahangirnagar University with an excellent academic result.
At NSU, she wants to continue research in the field of Radiotherapy, Radiology & Nuclear Medicine.
▪ Awarded ‘Full Scholarship’ from ICTP for doing ‘The Masters of Advance studies in Medical Physics’ for two years, 2021-2022.
▪ Received ‘National Science and Technology’ Fellowship from the government of Bangladesh in 2019.
▪ Got scholarships from Jahangirnagar University for academic results from 2015-2019.
▪ Participated in the ‘3rd European Congress of Medical Physics’ from June 17to June 19, 2021.
▪ Represented Department of Physics, JU at ‘4th Youth Scientist Congress’ as a speaker organized by Bangladesh Academy of Science.
▪ Was selected as an invited speaker of ‘119th Scientific Meeting of the Japan Society of Medical Physics (JSMP119)’ on April 2020.
▪ Acted as cultural secretary of Physics Society, Jahangirnagar University in August 2018 to August 2019.
▪ Was class representative (CR) at Department of Physics from 2016-2019
