Syed Asif Hossain joined School of Business and Economics, NSU in September, 2014 as a lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Finance. He is also working as Faculty Advisor of the NSU Finance Club.
He completed his Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from one of the prestigious Triple Accredited business schools, Aston Business School, Aston University. He has been a recipient of Aston University International Scholarship at Aston University. Prior to that, he finished his Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Accounting and Finance from North South University.
During his stay in UK, he worked for one of the big four accounting firm, Grant Thornton UK LLP with a project on Corporate Governance of FTSE 100 companies. He also served as Student/staff course representative at Aston University. While returning back to Bangladesh, he started his career in teaching at Southeast University, where he served as an Adjunct lecturer at School of Business Studies. Later on, he worked as an Adjunct lecturer at School of Business, Independent University, Bangladesh.
He also served as Assistant Proctor of North South University from November 2017 to September 2023 and July 2024 to December 2024. He worked as the Proctor (in-charge) of North South University between September 2023 and June 2024.
