Curriculum Vitae

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and Sociology at North South University, Bangladesh. As a social anthropologist, my research explores ethnography of aid, disaster management, healthcare inequalities, and diaspora studies. I specialize in qualitative research methods and have extensive experience in academia, consultancy, and healthcare management.

Before joining NSU, I was a Research Fellow at the London School of Economics (LSE) and a Teaching Assistant at SOAS, University of London, where I completed my PhD in Anthropology. I have also worked as an Organizational Process Consultant and Quality Improvement Coach in the UK’s healthcare sector, focusing on policy and service improvements.

My research is interdisciplinary, examining how local knowledge, identity politics, and socioeconomic inequalities shape policies and lived experiences. I have published on topics ranging from disaster response strategies to migration and development. At NSU, I am committed to fostering critical thinking, research excellence, and student engagement in global sociopolitical issues.
