Akram Hossain completed his Doctoral studies at the Department of Government, University of Bergen (UiB), Norway. His Ph.D. research is “Democratic Legitimacy in South Asia and Beyond: Does Culture Matter?”. He graduated in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka and trained in research methodology with a specialization in quantitative approach. The major areas of his research interest include democracy, culture and values, political Islam, public administration, and South Asia. His book chapters have been published in Palgrave Macmillan, Springer, and journal articles include publications in Springer, Sage, and other journals such as the International Journal of Public Sector Management, Teaching Public Administration, Migration Letters, and South Asian Journal of Policy and Governance, Teaching Public Administration, Migration Letters and South Asian Journal of Policy and Governance.
