Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Md Hasan Al Amin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry & Microbiology at North South University (NSU), Dhaka. He is a passionate educator and environmental biochemist with over eight years of research experience, focusing on environmental pollutants, exposure science, and human health risk.

He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Systems from the University of Tokyo, Japan, where he specialized in the toxicological assessment of arsenolipids. His research encompasses marine food safety, arsenic toxicity, and risk analysis, utilizing advanced tools such as HPLC-ICPMS and bioanalytical systems. Prior to joining NSU in 2024, he gained both national and international experience in teaching and research, including postdoctoral work at the Institute of Life Innovation Studies, Toyo University, Japan.

Dr. Al Amin has received several prestigious honors, including the Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship and an academic research grant from the University of Tokyo.  He is deeply committed to both research and teaching, aiming to foster critical thinking, curiosity, and academic excellence among students. His academic interests include biochemistry, toxicology, aging, and environmental health.
