Mr. Shahran Abu Sayeed joined North South University in the Department of Accounting and Finance under the School of Business and Economics as full time Lecturer in Spring 2015. He also served as the Faculty Advisor for the NSU Finance Club in 2016 and 2017. He completed his MSc in Finance from Alliance Manchester Business School under The University of Manchester. Mr.Shahran holds an undergraduate degree with Cum Laude in BBA from North South University where he majored in Finance and International Business. Before joining North South University he was a full time Lecturer at the School of Business Studies in Southeast University. Mr.Shahran also holds corporate experience having worked as an executive in Apex Husain Group for some time.
Research Interests: Mr.Shahran’s research interests include studying the performances of asset management companies in developed markets. More specifically he is keen into mutual funds and their scope and performance in emerging countries like Bangladesh.
Courses Taught: Introduction to Financial Management, Introduction to Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Corporate Finance, Investment Theory and Working Capital Management.
