The North-South University- Counseling & Wellbeing Center (NSU-CWC), under the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, functions under the stewardship of the Proctor.
It is a support system for the NSU community to addresses their emotional well-being. It serves as a primary mental health care unit for the students, faculty members, and staff of the University. The center offers various therapeutic approaches and advice for further referrals on mental health issues.
For appointments, client can self-refer or be referred by Faculty, family, and other administrative staff of NSU by mailing requests to counseling.center@northsouth.edu with full name, NSU ID, NSU email, and a valid phone number of the client, or the client can have a walk-in session if there is available slot.
The NSU-CWC offers one-to-one or group sessions. It has 4 professional psychologists working as counselors, specializing in Counseling, Clinical, and Educational Psychology.
The counselors and clients must maintain confidentiality. Counseling records are kept strictly confidential and are not part of University records. Exceptions to confidentiality are rare and include when a person poses a threat to his/her safety or the safety of someone else or when it is ordered by the court.
