NSU Public Health and Sciences Club (PHSC) is a graduate and undergraduate-level student organization; an extra co-curricular club. PHSC of NSU works towards promoting the health and well-being of the NSU community and beyond. In addition, the club focuses on developing public health professionals with exposure to leadership qualities. Since its inception in 2006, Public Health and Sciences Club has been pursuing its’ motto to develop a healthy community.
Depending on the major causes of the burden of diseases and death, the PHSC works to advocate and promote the risk factors and emerging infectious and chronic diseases. The activities include a health Camp, Screening Program, Awareness Program, Wellness Program, etc. In addition, the club observes the World Health Organization (WHO) declared Global Health Awareness Days.
The PHSC planning to start a Wellness program for the NSU Community, which will include workshops on Stress Management, Anger Management, Relationship Crisis Management, Social Skills, Phobia Management, Smoking Cessation, Nutrition, Mindfulness, Yoga, and Meditation.
