Navine Murshid is a distinguished political scientist specializing in South Asian politics, with a particular focus on citizenship, migration, refugees, and ethnic conflict in Bangladesh and eastern India. Her publication record, including monographs such as India's Bangladesh Problem and The Politics of Refugees in South Asia, along with numerous peer-reviewed articles and contributions to edited volumes, demonstrates her significant contributions to the study of democracy, development, and refugee issues in the region. Her active participation in media engagements, invited lectures, and conference presentations globally underscores her commitment as a public intellectual disseminating knowledge and fostering scholarly dialogue on critical issues facing South Asia.
