WELCOME

       I am Saleh Md. Shahriar, an Assistant Professor in the Department of History & Philosophy (DHP) at North South University (NSU), Dhaka, Bangladeh.This brief introduction is about my credentials, skills, experiences, and future goals and expectations.

   I obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwest A&F University (NWAFU), a top-ranking public university in China under the prestigious Project 211 and Project 985, Chinese Ministry of Education. I did my B. S. S. (Honors) and Masters in Political Science.  I have published some papers in high-quality journals indexed in the Scopus ( Elsevier, Netherlands), Clarivate Web of Science, ABDC ( Australia) & ABS (UK).  My chapters are also included in various edited books and encyclopedias. Moreover, I am a peer reviewer and assistant editor of a few reputed journals. I have presented my research in different international conferences and seminars.  I am especially interested in Asian Studies with a particular focus on the global rise of China and its implications in South Asia. I would be delighted to hear from my colleagues, students, and others interested in Belt & Road economics, international trade, cross-border relations, geopolitics, security  and China-related issues and can be contacted at: saleh.shahriar@northsouth.edu . In addition to my linguistic skills in Bangla & English, I have officially passed the Chinese Language Proficiency Test (HSK) held in China.

     Beyond my list of academic contributions over a range of national and international issues, I wish to do my advaced reserach  and publications in certain areas, subject to the availability of funding and other opportunities for such activities in the future.
