Dr. Saleh Md. Shahriar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History & Philosophy at North South University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwest A&F University (NWAFU) — a top-ranking public university in China. He previously completed his B.S.S. (Honors) and M.S.S. in Political Science with distinction.
Dr. Shahriar is a political scientist and economist whose research has been published in leading academic journals indexed by Scopus (Elsevier), Web of Science, ABDC (Australia), and ABS (UK). He has contributed chapters to edited volumes and global encyclopedias, and he also serves as a peer reviewer and assistant editor for several international journals. He frequently presents his work at conferences and seminars worldwide.
His primary research interests include the global rise of China and its geopolitical implications, with a focus on the Belt and Road Initiative, trade models, border conflicts, memory studies, geopolitics, and Asian regional security. Dr. Shahriar has officially passed the Chinese Language Proficiency Test (HSK) and actively welcomes collaboration and dialogue in his areas of expertise.
