Dr. Saidur Rahman Mashreky is an associate professor at the Department of Public Health at North South University. With a Ph.D. in Public Health from the esteemed Karolinska Institutet in Sweden, Dr. Mashreky boasts over twenty years of comprehensive Public Health and Epidemiology expertise. Additionally, he holds the title of Honorary Professor in the Department of Non-Communicable Diseases at Bangladesh University of Health Sciences.

Over the last 15 years, Dr. Mashreky has secured more than 11 million dollars in research funding from various organizations, including the NHIR and the MRC in the UK. Notably, the groundbreaking "Prevention of Child Injuries through Social Intervention and Education (PRICES)" initiative is a testament to Dr. Mashreky's impactful contributions to child injury prevention and public health in low-income countries. Additionally, Dr. Mashreky has successfully developed and implemented a childhood burn prevention program tailored for rural communities in Bangladesh. He created and executed a digital platform to implement the WHO Package of Essential Non-communicable Disease Interventions (WHO PEN) for managing Non-Communicable diseases in primary healthcare settings across Bangladesh.

Having earned a post-graduate diploma in Medical Education from the University of Dundee, UK, Dr. Mashreky has served as an Assistant Professor of Medical Education at the Center for Medical Education, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Bangladesh. In this role, Dr. Mashreky imparted pedagogical expertise to medical college teachers and held the pivotal position of focal person for Bangladesh's Quality Assurance program in Medical Education.

Dr. Mashreky supervises six Ph.D. students, contributing to their academic growth. The international reach of Dr. Mashreky's mentorship is evident, with students placed at esteemed institutions such as Glasgow University, UK, and Mid Sweden University, Sweden, alongside four others at Bangladesh University of Professionals.

A prolific researcher, Dr. Mashreky has authored over 115 articles in peer-reviewed journals and holds positions as a reviewer and editorial board member for approximately 40 reputable journals, including The Lancet. Dr. Mashreky continues to make significant strides in academia and public health, leaving an indelible mark on research and education.
