Shams Forruque Ahmed received his PhD from Central Queensland University, Australia, in 2016. He was awarded the International Postgraduate Research Award (IPRA) in order to pursue his PhD. He received the "Thesis Academic Excellence Award - 2016" from Central Queensland University for his excellent PhD research work. Upon completing his PhD, he became a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Deakin University in Australia.
Dr. Ahmed currently holds the position of Associate Professor of Mathematics at North South University (NSU) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Before joining NSU, he was an Associate Professor of Mathematics & Computational Science with the Asian University for Women (AUW), Chattogram. In recognition of his noticeable contribution to AUW, he was awarded the Academic Merit Award - 2022.
Dr. Ahmed has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience at national and international universities. He is actively involved in multidisciplinary research. He has 138 publications, including book, book chapters, and journal articles. Based on Scopus data, he is ranked among the top 2% of scientists worldwide by Stanford University, USA. His main research interests include Computational Fluid Dynamics, Energy & Environment, and AI.
