Welcome to North South University's Mathematics Department! I am Dr. Md Sumon Hossain, an Assistant Professor specializing in Mathematics. With a profound passion for both teaching and research, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our academic community.

I hold a PhD in Mathematics from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, where I delved into advanced topics such as Hybrid Systems, Optimization, and Machine Learning. My research interests span across various fields including Switched Systems and Machine Learning, where I am dedicated to exploring innovative solutions to contemporary mathematical problems.

As an educator, my mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of mathematicians. I believe in fostering a dynamic learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, problem-solve creatively, and embrace the beauty of mathematical concepts. Through engaging lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on activities, I strive to instill in my students a deep appreciation for the elegance and significance of mathematics in our world. Beyond the classroom, I am actively involved in collaborative research projects, publications, and academic conferences, contributing to the advancement of mathematical knowledge on both local and global scales.

I am thrilled to be a part of the North South University community, where excellence in education and research is celebrated. I look forward to embarking on this journey together, as we explore the boundless possibilities of mathematics and its profound impact on society.

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions, ideas, or opportunities for collaboration. Let's embark on this mathematical adventure together!

Warm regards,
Dr. Md Sumon Hossain
