Quazi Tafsirul Islam is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Business and Economics, North South University (NSU), where he has been teaching Strategic Management, Negotiations, and Human Resources since 2017. He is the Coordinator of NSU Startups Next (NSU SN), fostering entrepreneurship among students, and previously served as Faculty Advisor to the NSU HR Club, mentoring the team in organizing prominent national events. An internationally certified Trainer, Academic, and Researcher, Tafsir possesses over a decade of experience in Research, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Banking, and Investment.

He actively supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 8 and 12, promoting inclusive growth and sustainable practices. With 100+ research papers, case studies, books and chapters in high-impact journals with esteemed publishers, and national media, he is a recognized Management Consultant and Trainer, excelling in AI adaptation, Negotiation and sustainability. • To position the branch as an effective retail sales and service outlet by providing superior customer service for increasing the customer base and achieving the branch asset & liability targets
• Ensuring that General Banking operations are completed as per agreed SLA (Service level agreement)
• To assist the Branch Manager/ Sales or Operation Manager to ensure all the regulatory guidelines are followed in operations of the branch

Job Description: 
* Risk Assessment and control
* To ensure approvals are in place for all trade-related transactions.
* To handle Transactions relating to Letters of Credit and any other activity assigned from time to time by the Manager Trade Service.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
* To handle primarily Exports, guarantees, and/or other Trade products.
* Maintain close relationship with other Trade Dept. teams to ensure smooth flow of transaction processing and meeting / striving to exceed SLA.
* Cascade this relationship downward to all levels among other departments and the relevant units/country team in TPC such that partnership like the relationship is established.
* Maintain partnership like a relationship with the Business unit/Relationship managers and be responsive to their service requirements.
* To review, manage turnaround time of transactions against the SLA and communicate to parties concerned in SSC and RM teams etc. to ensure that the service level meets the target standard.
* Responsible for maintaining the quality standards in line with six sigma / Out-serve requirements in Trade Services. To build up service excellence, customer focus mindset and quality culture in the center.
* Handle complex transactions escalated from subordinate CSR or directed from Head of Trade Services.
* Adhering to Bangladesh Bank guidelines, and western sanctions while processing and issuing LC and other trade-related documents, to avoid penalty from legislators.
