Dr. Mohammad Islam Biswas currently serves as an Assistant Professor in Accounting at North South University, Bangladesh. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from Xiamen University, China. The title of his Ph.D. dissertation was "The effect of artificial intelligence target setting and performance evaluation on employee job behavior and performance". He received his MBA and BBA from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, with a specialization in Accounting.

His research primarily centers on artificial intelligence (AI) in management accounting, with additional interest in exploring employees' psychological reactions to AI utilization, algorithmic decision-making, and influence of national culture. His work has been published in reputable journals such as International Journal of Emerging Markets and Current Pschology, and he has presented his research at conferences including the CAFR conference in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific Management Conference in Indonesia.
