Seminar by Dr. Mohammad Imran Hossain, Assoc. Prof. Bradley University (4th SEPS Colloquium)


The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (DCEE) of North South University (NSU) successfully organized the 4th SEPS Colloquium in association with the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences (SEPS) on Monday, July 14th 2025, in the Syndicate Hall of North South University.

The session featured a presentation by Dr. Mohammad Imran Hossain, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering and Construction, Bradley University, Illinois, USA. Dr. Hossain delivered an insightful lecture on “Pavement Engineering and Materials: Practice in the USA,” highlighting pavement design using the Mechanistic-Empirical approach, performance monitoring methods, nondestructive testing technologies, and the use of recycled and sustainable materials like Warm Mix Asphalt and Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP). The event was well attended by the faculty members and a good number of students. After the presentation, a discussion was held regarding potential research collaboration opportunity between Bradley University and North South University.
