Academic Programs

Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm):

Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) is a 160-credit undergraduate program run by the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at North South University. Students get sound knowledge and hands-on training in different areas including basic chemistry, hospital and clinical pharmacology, community pharmacy, toxicology, pharmacy law, drug use management, pharmacotherapy, patient assessment & counseling, pharmaceutical dispensing, etc. In addition, students will complete a number of GED courses offered by the university.

Semester system: Bi-semester (six months/semester).
Degree Requirement: Completion of all required courses with a minimum CGPA 2.5.

MPharm in Pharmacology & Clinical Pharmacy (MPharm in PCP):

MPharm in PCP is a graduate program which aims to provide pharmacy education of excellent quality and focuses on producing future graduates who will have their career in pharmaceutical marketing, R&D, research, and hospitals. Minimum program duration is one year and the total number of credits is 36.

Semester system: Tri-semester (four months/semester).

MPharm in Pharmaceutical Technology & Biopharmaceutics (MPharm in PTB):

MPharm in PTB is a graduate program which aims to provide pharmacy education of excellent quality and focuses on producing future graduates who will have their career in pharmaceutical industries, R&D, and research. Minimum program duration is one year and the total number of credits is 36.

Semester system: Tri-semester (four months/semester).

MPharm in Dual Major:

Students will have the option to get MPharm degree with majors in both Pharmacology & Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology & Biopharmaceutics. They need to complete an additional 12 credits (total 48 credits).
