SIPG-UNDP Pilot Training on Enhancing Negotiation Skills

A pilot training program on enhancing Negotiation Skills was conducted on 12-16 March 2022 at NSU campus. It was jointly organized by the South Asian Institute of Policy and Governance (SIPG) of North South University and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Bangladesh. The aim of these training programs was to enhance negotiation skills of the civil servants and other professionals for Smooth Transition of Bangladesh from LDC Graduation. It was the 1st cohort of this Negotiation training series. 

The participants of this training were the Civil Servants, Business Leaders and other professionals from the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Economic Relations Division (ERD) of Planning Ministry, Ministry of Public Administration, Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, National Board of Revenue (NBR) FBCCI, MCCI, BRAC and NSU.

The certificate awarding ceremony of this training was held on 16 March 2022. Professor ABM Rashedul Hassan, Treasurer of NSU was the Chief Guest of the program.        

Some of the training participants also expressed their experiences and impressions about these training sessions. They said that they are delighted to attend such programs and it has enhanced their negotiation skills which will be helpful in the upcoming days. Academics, researchers, civil servants, journalists, and students were present at the closing program.
